Founder, Chief William (KEN) Nelms Jr. started the NFC in 1973 to offer training across the Southeast for departments without designated Training Officers. Chief Nelms was one of the Original Instructors for the TAG Burns through the 80s and 90s (Tennessee-Alabama-Georgia Burns). Sons, Trey and Daniel “Chunk” assumed roles as instructors throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. After Chief Nelms retirement, sons continued on legacy by taking over management of company. NFC now travels all over the country teaching and passing on tried and true strategies and tactics.
